Does anyone think one notetaker's keyboard, (be it Braille input or qwerty input), is better over another? I have a BrailleNote, and this is the second thime, when accidentally dropping it, that keys on the keygoard don't work properly anymore. Argh. Ah well, hopefully I can get it fixed soon rather than the two months it took last semester, although last time the BN was dead, as opposed to this time, where it's fine save a few of the keys not working well, if at all.
What are other people's opinions, if any?
Well, I use a Braille Lite, a braille input note taker from the makers of the jaws screen reader. The thing I like about the Braille Lite keyboard is that the keys are designed to be easily taken out and put back in. So, if a key falls out, it can be put back in and still function properly. This is a great improvement.
On a Braille and Speak I used to use a few years ago, the keys were inserted with threads attached. if the thread broke, the key became useless. the Braille Lite keys just snap in and out.

Well, I can't really say wich keyboard I like better, because I've only used a Braille Note and a regular computer keybord. The braille note keyboard is ok, but I like regular computer keyboards better, because I can type faster, because each letter is a different key, and it just seems easier to press one key at a time inst of a key combination, but I've been using the braille note since seventh grade and I'm in the eleventh grade now, so I guess I've gotten use to it.
yeah, well, I use A braille lite and a braille 'n speak, and I don't braille fast on the Braille lite, but i do on the braille 'n speak. oh yeah, about what blake said, it's kind of wierd how the keys are snappible on the braille lite. I found out about this last summer, when I put my braille lite on the headboard of my bed, and went to use it, and found the dot 6 key on the floor! lol! i put it back, and it's been working fine ever since, well, almost fine... i'm sure you know what I'm refering to... the problems that freedomscientific sems to never get quite fixed... lol!
I like both, a computer keybaord for my computer at home for liek researching, but a Braille keyboard works better for me for note taking because it's harder to make mistakes on it. At least that's how it is for me. Since you have to push a bit more on the keys you don't bump random keys as much. I have a BN as well and looove it. But i wouldn't mind having a comptuer keyboard on my BN. I think I'd liek both. But i"m happy with what i have now heh.
Also I dropped my BN the other day, anddid one other time and nothing has happened ever! Am I lucky, or am i lucky?
